Concordia Physio Sport offers on site sporting event first aid coverage. The goal of our event coverage is to provide a safe and secure environment for the players, league and coaches. We accomplish this goal by providing a qualified staff therapist, trained in the management of sports first aid, sports medicine techniques, and emergency care of acute sports injuries. Our staff will manage all injuries at the event and document any injuries that occur. All injuries evaluated by our staff will be followed up to ensure that they are receiving the appropriate medical care.

1) While on duty, the student therapist / therapist will manage all injuries. These injuries will be evaluated and treated on site, if minor, and recommendations for follow up will be given. All major injuries will be evaluated and managed according to the severity, and follow up care and instructions will be given to the player, coach, and parent. Any injury that the student therapist / therapist deems urgent will be sent to the hospital via ambulance.

2) The student therapist / therapist will have on hand a first aid kit supplied by Concordia Physio Sport and additional supplies deemed necessary for sporting event coverage.

3) The student therapist / therapist covering the game is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association with liability insurance.

4) The student therapist / therapist covering the game will coordinate priority appointments, as needed, with physicians and/or therapists at Concordia Physio Sport.
